EP1 - Integrated Geophysical Model
Goals
Geophysical investigation is necessary in order to explain the structure of the Thuringian Basin and to develop an integrative 3D-model of its underground. First off, all existing geophysical data (seismic, gravimetric, magnetic, bore hole measurements) will be reviewed and filled in a consistent model. Subsequently, additional data will be collected, high resolution seismic measurements, deformation-observations and numerical modelling of mass distribution will be carried out. Eventually, development and 3D-stress condition of the Thuringian Basin are characterized by comprehensive model.
