Goals
For a full capturing of the fluid system in the Thuringian Basin it is paramount to capture precipitation, evaporation, etc. A comprehensive image of heat transfer, evaporation, ground water runoff and inflow can only be obtained if all independant variables on the regional scale are considered.
To obtain high quality evaporation data the technical requirements are still above standard. 5 towers will capture evapotranspiration data using Eddy-Covariance. Eddy Covariance puts you in a position to capture evaporation data on a continous basis in a 2 sqkm range with no effect on vegetation and bedrock.
